Ernesto Castro was born i Uruguay in 1937, and he have studied Martial Arts since the age of eleven.
The Martial Arts Mr. Castro started with was Capoeira & JuJutsu (Katsuku Higashi/Irving Hancock's system/Nakaes method)
In 1961 Mr. Castro moved to Sweden, where he have been working as an instructor since 1968.
In the late 1960's Mr. Castro became a personal student of Raymond Cocatre, and Mr. Castro was promoted to 4th Dan by
Cocatre just before Cocatre's death in 1979. After Mr. Cocatre's death Mr. Castro was appointed as Cocatres successor.
Until 1995 Mr. Castro was the highest ranked individual in Ecole R. Cocatre Internationale de Bushidos with the following ranks:
8th Dan: Ju Jutsu
7th Dan: Karate
7th Dan: Aikido
2nd Dan: Kobudo
1st Dan: Knife fighting
In 1995 Mr. Ernesto Castro began teaching students in his own founded Martial Art; Castro Cocatre Selfdefence.
