Heiwa Jitsu (Caribbean Martial Art of Peace) was founded by Mr. Hubert Hood in 2002, in Antigua in the Caribbean.
Mr. Hood's background includes rank of 6th dan from International
Martial arts League in Japanese Karate (Yusei Ryu - Dr.Vito Mulea) and rank in Hapkido
of 5th dan from World Mixed Martial Arts Association - Prof. Jack Stern (Papasan),
Korean yudo and hapikido Assoc, Florida, USA.
Certified by World Cuncil of Soke, Kobe, Japan.
Mr. Hood also has a 4th dan in Shotokan from Kanazawa's
association, and ranks in Hapkido, Jiu Jitsu and several other Martial Arts. Mr. Hood began training Martial Arts at the age of 6 years, trained by his father in Jiu Jitsu,
and met Prof. Leon Fu of Malaysia,
who taught him Kung-Fu Karate-Do, his special blend of karate, kung fu and wrestling.
In the 1970's Mr. Hood were training with Prof. Phillip Skornia of Zendoryu,
Redondo beach, California, who opened his eyes to scientific matial arts. According to Mr. Hood he has also been helped
beyond measure by Prof. Jack Stern of Korean Yudo and Hapkido Assoc., Florida.USA.
Besides Martial Arts Mr. Hood is the holder of two doctoral degrees in Finance and Business Management, and a
Chartered accountant and Chartered Business Consultant.
I will learn from anyone, provided that someone has something to teach. Heiwa Jitsu is a blend
of all martial arts and it has stong spiritual and religious content.
The aim is to get the most out of life and the best use of the human brain, mind, body
and spirit - a complete way of life, ever learning, ever expanding.
