Dr. Stephen Michael Monasingh of Guyana, South America, is the founder of Shin Kai Do Personal Combat System of the
Kokoro Ki Karada International Organization of Martial Arts and Massotherapy Service.
Dr. Monasingh was born the 7th January 1950 and has the following rankings:
Shin Kai Do Personal Combat System: 10th Dan (by World Organization of Martial Arts)
Dong Koo Yudo Kwan: 8th Dan
Tae Kwon Do: 5th Dan
Karate: 5th Dan
Kickboxing: 4th Dan
In addition Dr. Monasingh have recently (2003) started studying Tai Chi C'huan, to assist in
the growth of Shin Kai Do.
The Karate styles Dr. Monasingh have studied is Shotokan, Shito Ryu and Kyokushinkai.
The Kokoro Ki Karada International Organization of Martial Arts and Massotherapy Service
was founded on the 25th April 1963.
Shin Kai Do of the Kokoro Ki Karada was founded in december 1975.
The Shin Kai Do Personal Combat System is a pragmatic form of Self Defence which is in constant
evolution and comprises of the best workable techniques (to suit each student) extracted from the
Japanese, Brazilian, Korean and Chinese Martial Arts being practiced and studied, and which Dr. Monasingh
have studied and practiced for over forty years.
